Age 15

Alfiya lives with her mother and brother in the slums of Bhiwandi. She is the youngest in her house; all her siblings are married and live separately except her brother. Alfiya's father left them a few years ago, remarried, and lives with his second wife and children in another state. Alfiya's mother has diabetes and other illnesses, so Alfiya has to take care of her. Alfiya's brother works as a packer in a company where he earns a small sum, insufficient for her mother's treatment.

Alfiya's mother enrolled her in Udaan and hopes that one day Alfiya can follow her dreams. Alfiya desperately needs a sponsor to support her education and future.
