Age 12

Ayan is the eldest of 3 brothers and is a very caring boy. His family lives in the slum community of Bhiwandi. His father works in a factory that manufactures clothes and only makes about $3 a day, which makes it difficult for him to fulfill the needs of the family of 5. Ayan's mother started working on stringing beads to sell from their house to help with the finances. However, they still could not afford to send Ayan and his two brothers to school.

When Udaan opened its doors, Ayan's mother requested to enroll Ayan. Ayan expresses that when he grows up, he wants to become a doctor and help people by treating them.
