Age 16

Faizan is the eldest of 3 siblings and lives in the Bhiwandi slums. His father works as a fabric weaver earning $5 per day, and his mother works at home doing bead assembly. The family has had financial challenges and, at times, could not afford basic needs like food and clothes, but his parents always encouraged their children to go to school. Faizan's parents were worried about him not continuing his education and worked hard to provide for their children's education.

When Udaan began, the family eagerly enrolled Faizan and his 2 sisters. Faizan learns well in class and dreams of learning computer skills along with education. Faizan's family needs a sponsor to help support his continuing education and future aspirations.
