Age 12

Fatima lives in Bhiwandi with her family. They have a large family of 7. Fatima’s father works as a wedding stage decorator in Bhiwandi and earns $190 a month in wages, and her mother works from home making beaded necklaces earning less than $1.25 per day.

Fatima is the youngest in the family; some of her older siblings are married, and others are working to help support the family.

Fatima regularly comes to Udaan to learn, and her dream is to become a police officer. She needs financial support to help her continue her education.
