Muskan lives in Bhiwandi with her 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and her parents. Because of financial hardship, her family moved from their village to Bhiwandi to find work. Muskan’s father works in a textile factory and her mother does pearl beading at home, earning less than $25 per month combined.

Muskan was a very quiet girl when she began attending Udaan but slowly started making friends. Muskan’s dream is to become a teacher someday. She is a very good student and works hard to excel in her studies.
