Age 11

Faizan lives in the slum community in Bhiwandi with his family members. His older siblings contribute to the household expenses as his father works in a loom factory earning very little. His mother is a homemaker who is often ill, and much of their income goes toward her treatment.

Faizan is a bright boy and very hard-working. He began attending Udaan this year and dreams of becoming a police officer and helping his family achieve their dreams.
