Mahek lives in Bhiwandi, India with her family. They have moved often which has disrupted her education and she has only completed the 1st grade. Mahek’s mother is a homemaker, caring for their family of 8, and her father works in a toy manufacturing company earning approximately $144 monthly, which is not enough to support their large family. Mahek‘s sisters all have health problems and remain sick.

Mahek is healthy and loves attending classes at Udaan. She is a smart student and very engaged in class. Sponsoring Mahek will enable her to continue reaching her educational goals and dreams.
