Age 13

Zainab lives with her family of 8 in the slum community of Bhiwandi. Her mother does bead weaving at home and earns $2 a day, and her father is a loom worker in a factory, where he earns $6-7 a day.

After moving to Bhiwandi, Zainab and her siblings did not attend school for a few months; they stayed home doing beadwork to make extra money to pay for their education. Fortunately, they found out about Udaan, and Zainab started attending. She is interested in learning computers and wants to support her parents when she starts working. Zainab needs a sponsor to support her as she continues her education.
