Mobin lives with his father, mother, and older sister in the slums of Bhiwandi. The family's daily income is around $5, and they barely manage to pay their expenses. Mobin's father works as a spinning machine worker, and his mother suffers from a heart ailment and is unable to work. This has, at times, left Mobin in a vulnerable position as there is no one to take care of him, especially when his father goes to work and his sister to school. His family's income was not enough, and the family reached the point where Mobin could no longer be enrolled in regular school.

However, since Udaan began, Mobin has been attending regularly. He is learning to read and write for the first time with the help of teachers at Udaan. Mobin is looking for a sponsor to provide him with the opportunity to have a quality education and a bright future.
