Age 14

Momina lives with her family in Bhiwandi with 7 family members. Her father owns a small business that sells electrical parts, and her mother stays home and takes care of the family.

Her father used to send all his children to school because he knew the benefits of education, but they encountered hardship when her father had several accidents within a time span of four years. He was hospitalized for many days. While her mother cared for her father in the hospital, Momina and her elder sibling cared for the house and the younger ones. Their financial condition prevented the children from attending school, and they depended on extended family for help.

Momina was not very interested in general education but was keen to learn something different. Now she has joined Udaan to study Child Development. She needs a sponsor to help her continue her studies.
